Mazatlán, Mexico Dining Rooms Open To Ocean
BeachFront Tables by The Sea
All dining rooms are open to the ocean. You have beachfront tables always. Oceanfront dining in one unit has a massive old Mexican table from Tlaquepaque that seats ten to twelve. It sits quietly under an old painted hanging antique chandelier from Tlaquepaque. Dining in the other is a rattan setting. Both dining rooms are filled with Mexican folk art and fine examples of Mexican craft. Bar in colonial unit is covered in handmade Talavera tiles features a built in chess set and beverage sink. Above are collections of beautiful glass from throughout Mexico. A large buffet in Unit 14 contains an assortment of placemats and napkins. This is found in dining bar in Unit 15.
All these rooms open to oceanfront patio with sand blasted marble where you may also dine outside, watching the beautiful Mazatlan sunsets and evening stars while listening to the crashing waves on the beach beneath your feet. Check your cabinets for Mexican table accessories like placements, serving bowls, platters and glasses. You may also find beautiful floral centerpieces to add by shopping at the fun flower mart in downtown Mazatlan which opens early every morning. We like huge vases of calla lillies and colorful gladiolus.
For your eating pleasure, if you don’t want to cook, check with the desk for all the local deliveries which include some very great Mexican food, Thai food, pizza and Italian food. You may also inquire about the possibility of a private cook which can be arranged. This must be done before checkin. Remember you can also always order cases of Mexican beer and sodas at the front desk. Make sure to try Mazatlan’s own beer, Pacifico.
